To start traveling, she would need a map, wouldn’t she? Tifa was planning on starting north and eventually work her way elsewhere, but she would need a map to figure out just where exactly she was. So far, she knew she was in this city named Polis, in a world far different yet somehow similar to her own. If anything, it was a start and that was good, but Tifa knew that she had a long way to go if she ever wanted to find a way back home.
There were several shops in Polis. Hopefully, she would be able to find one selling maps. In the corner of her eye, she noticed something orange flash in her gaze—no, not something, someone. Tifa turned to find a girl walking on the opposite direction, entering what appeared to be a bookstore. A rack of used books and a magazine stand were displayed along outside; she could hear the faint sound of a chime as the door opened and closed.
A bookstore…? Her eyes widened. Of course! If Tifa was looking for a map, a bookstore would probably sell something like that, wouldn’t it? The girl blinked and turned, patting her pockets. Did she even have money to begin with? She probably had some left over from her own world, but she doubted it would be a sufficient exchange. Perhaps, she could trade something, but… She would even resort to stealing if she had to, but it wasn’t like she wanted to, no. Tifa sighed. She supposed the only thing she could do was to see if the store even had a map before before she got any ideas. With that single, clear thought in mind, Tifa walked over and entered the store, the bell chiming as she did so.
